Remarkable You Perfect Wisteria Lotus

This is one of the extra samples I made to display at my July Heat Embossing classes.

I used the Floating Reinker technique, which here looks like stained glass.

Remarkable You Perfect Wisteria Lotus

To make it:

  • Add some splatters to the Thick Whisper White cardstock base using Basic Black ink and an Aqua Painter.
  • Cut the ‘swirly’ die from Swirly Scribbles Thinlits with a piece of Perfect Plum cardstock and add to the bottom of the card.
  • Use the ‘leafy wreath’ die from Swirly Scribbles Thinlits and cut two from a piece of Pear Pizzazz cardstock. Overlap and add to centre top third of the card
  • Stamp the lotus on a piece of Shimmery White with Versamark ink and heat emboss with Copper Embossing Powder.
  • Use an Aqua Painter or wet paint brush to saturate an area of the flower with water. Add a drop of Wisteria Wonder ink with the Aqua Painter or paint brush and let it spread. Add more drops, one at a time to spread over the area. Add a drop of Perfect Plum ink to create a darker highlight. Repeat this procedure with all parts of the image. Use Pear Pizzazz for the stem.
  • Allow to air dry. Using a heat tool will quicken the process, but make sure the water pools are almost dry first or you will end up spreading the ink all over the art panel.
  • Fussy cut the image and attach it to the front of the card.
