Here is my first attempt at the faux mother of pearl technique. Normally, you would use a Frost Shimmer Paint, but I have used Platinum as it is the only shimmer paint I have at the moment.
To try this technique: Just use a very small amount of the Shimmer Paint on an acrylic surface. Then take a piece of plastic wrap, scrunch it up and dab it in the shimmer paint and then onto the glossy cardstock. Leave to dry, or if in a hurry, use a heat gun. Once dry, sponge the colour ink of your choice all over the surface. The ink will not hold where the shimmer paint is. Try doing a full sheet of cardstock. You can then cut it to use for many projects. Don’t forget you will need to use a solvent ink like Stazon for your images.
